Questions related to Burial

Q: as-Salaamu ‘alykum
Juma Mubarak Agha
One of my relatives (aunt) passed away on Wednesday and I am in Houston for her burial and Soyem majlis.
Multiple questions came up here and I request you to please clarify. Thank you Agha
1. During burial a ‘HALAF-NAAMA’ was signed (and placed inside the grave) by 40+ participants on a pre-printed cloth in which we testify that the Marhooma was a Momina (summarized in my own words- I thought that was the purpose of the Arabic versus recited after the 4th Takbeer in Namaaz e Mayyat)
2. Why (& what) do we place inside the grave (e.g., Burde-Yamani, other Hajj/Ziarat clothes of deceased, Aqeeq etc)?
A: 🌹 Salamun Alaikum
Tasliyat to you. May Allah grant them the highest ranks in the vicinity of the AhlulBayt (as).
1⃣ This is a custom, a mustahabb observed by some of the noble, a practice among the sacred ulama as well, a testimony is signed by 40 Momineen which is an extra Nexus card for free and quick pass.
When 40 shahadaat are there for the wellbeing of a person, the Almighty is shy to punish him.
2⃣ Burd e Yamani, aqeeq, dust of Karbala, Ihram in which Marhoom had performed Hajj. Some also have their janimaz on which they worshiped.
There are and have been Momineen who in their will write to have a sword buried too, to rise to serve the Imam (as) when he arrives.
